"This afternoon the Brussels Chamber of indictment refused to release a female Iranian asylum seeker. The woman is locked up in the closed refugee camp in the city of Bruges and is likely to be deported to Tehran if the Board of Immigration Appeals reject her request. The Council also examined her case today. The lawyers of the woman will do anything to stop her deportation."

Palm Sunday

We don't need to become saints, during this Holy Week. We know that it's God talking to us: the truth we had as a gift when we were created. Let us not miss the opportunity to listen, to look around. Thinking a little less of ourselves. It is single a week!  But everything comes from here. We are already saints,  and the joy of those cherubims and seraphims  in seeing the sons of God,  in the comforting them in the suffering, in watching us doing good things when we are in in pain,  it is an endless joy.

Both the Gospel and our Saint for today, Saint Francis of Paola note the importance of focusing our lives away from our selves as a being a critical means of being able to truly love and know joy in one’s life. “Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” (Luke 18:14) Humility is like a window in our marital relationship, it allows light to enter the marriage, the light found in truth.
